The world doesn't revolve around me
but my world does.
I am the main character,
the antagonist,
the victim,
the hero.
Not because I chose the roles,
but because I was handed them.
I don't write the script,
I live it,
I act it.
And somewhere between
one scene and the next,
I disappeared.
I became a ghost,
slipping between versions of myself,
wearing different faces
in a single breath.
Now it's hard to tell,
where one ends
and another begins.
Where the saint fades,
and the devil steps in.
Where the line was drawn,
or when I crossed it.
The strange thing is,
I don't stop acting.
Not when the lights go out.
Not when the curtains close.
Not even when the director says, cut.
Because outside the act,
life feels too fragile,
like dew on morning grass,
gone before it can prove it was ever there.

And yet,
these characters don't feel strange,
maybe because
they were all me.
In different seasons.
Different storms.
Different versions trying to survive.
So who am I?
I have asked this question
in different voices,
in different seasons
and each time
the answer slipped through my fingers.
Maybe because,
I was never just one thing.
I was the girl at seventeen,
learning the weight of her choices.
The twenty-five year old,
carrying mistakes like quiet lessons,
wearing strength like armor.
And the unknown at thirty-two,
not yet written,
not yet named,
but already becoming.
Maybe I am more than I can name.
Dust, yet not forgotten.
Clay, still been shaped
in the hands of the One
who sees beyond every role I play.
I am not one character.
I am not one moment.
I am,
a body in motion,
in the hands of something greater
than every script I thought I understood.
I am every version of me
that has lived, broken, healed, and changed.
And maybe that is enough.
Not to have all the answers,
but to keep unfolding.
Not to be one person forever,
but to grow through every version I’ve been.
Because I am the journey.
I believe that there are versions of us we outgrow,
and versions that never really leave.
PS: I've had this in my draft since June last year🤭
