Every established vision starts as a light-bulb idea, a flicker of a passing thought that was retained and further deliberated on. Then action is taken towards it, and the process begins.
When I decided to take a break from Webnovel because I couldn’t keep up with their market trends, the first thing I created was an academic planner. This came after asking AI for intellectual things I could do to make money as a student. From the many options it provided, I decided to go with the simplest one—creating a study template.
I then asked how I could go about it, and Canva was suggested. I downloaded the app, but it stayed on my phone for a long time unopened. When I finally opened it, I closed it again because I didn’t understand how to use it.
It remained that way for a while until I finally put aside procrastination and opened it again to start.
After opening a blank page, it didn’t take long for me to create a cover by editing an existing template. Before I knew it, I had started planning the sections, usage guide, and everything else.
Even though it wasn’t perfect, I already knew it would become a foundation for something bigger, because it was turning out better than I had imagined.
After reflecting on it, I developed the idea of using it to start an intellectual writing brand. I named it PEducate–“P” for the initial of my name Princess and “Educate” for purpose.
Later, I redesigned the cover after establishing the brand name and designing a logo with a motto:
Academic Prudence • Pecuniary Sapience.
I didn’t abandon writing there to start creating education planners—I redirected it.
I began writing short, related themed entries and named the writing line GreenQuillNotes, under PEducate Academia.
It became PEducate Literary.
In a nutshell, I’m not there yet, but I am no longer where I used to be. A simple planner idea drafted the structure and roadmap of my writing career.
So far, I have created/written:
– The academic planner (though it is better used physically, and I currently have only an eBook version)
– Campus Skill
– Threshold (the entries collection)
– And I am working on my current project: The Modern Reader: Literature Beyond The Pages
I also started a literary series content on Facebook where I explain literature and writing techniques in the best way I can.
Instead of simply pushing my work to people's faces in groups and posting links to buy, I stopped and adopted a different approach, one that builds trust in my knowledge first, so that people can become genuinely interested in the product of it.
The Olushola once said "When people trust your voice, they'd be the ones to help you amplify your vision, lead a community that actually listens because attention is rented but community it owned" and this statement had stuck with me since then.
This process has deepened my observation and awareness of my environment and deeper meanings to life. I now understand and express small philosophical truths, notice systems, trace patterns, and avoid simply joining the cycles that repeat itself.
There is so much potential in you, if you allow yourself to manifest it.
Thoughts grow.
Dreams evolve.
Vision expands.
And now, the goal is a publishing and editing institution.
I won’t do it alone. If you share a mutual vision and your knowledge is relevant, you are welcome, let’s connect and see how we can work together.
