"Love in Every Word" is a Nigerian romantic drama film produced by Omoni Oboli. The movie tells the story of Chioma, a smart and hardworking young woman who's been scarred by her past and struggles to believe in love. Her life takes a turn when she meets Obiora, a wealthy and confident bachelor who showers her with grand gestures and declarations of love. The movie features impressive performances from its lead actors, Uzor Arukwe as Obiora and Bambam Adenibuyan as Chioma. Arukwe's portrayal of Obiora is effortless and charming, while Adenibuyan brings a refreshing contrast to Obiora's loquacious nature.
The film explores themes of love, trauma, and self-discovery, with a touch of Nigerian culture and romance. The costumes and setting add to the movie's charm, although the fashion could be more transformative for Chioma's character development.
The main character, Chioma, is a modern woman-independent, smart, and not easily impressed. She’s had her heart broken before, so she’s not really open to love. Then she meets Obiora, a calm, respectful man who likes her from the start. But Chioma doesn’t like him at first, mostly because of his strong Igbo accent. She thinks he’s too “local” for her city lifestyle.
But what stood out in the movie is how Obiora didn’t give up. He wasn’t forceful or fake. He just kept showing her love in a calm and respectful way. Over time, Chioma began to see who he really was, and that’s when everything changed.
