Ifunanya Nwangene, a talented Nigerian singer who became famous after appearing on The Voice Nigeria, has sadly died at the age of 26. 

She was known for her powerful voice, amazing singing style and her ability to mix different kinds of music like jazz, opera, classical and soul. Many fans loved her performance when she sang “Take a Bow” by Rihanna on the show.

What Happened

• Ifunanya was at her home in Abuja when a snake bit her while she was sleeping.  
• She woke up after the bite and rushed to get help, but the first clinic she went to did not have the right antivenom medicine.  
• She was later taken to a hospital, but doctors were unable to save her. She died on January 31, 2026.  
• Footage online shows a snake handler removing a snake from her house after the incident.
