“I guess we learn what we want to learn, whether in the slum or in the castle,” I said picking my words thoughtful and he smiled
“I like that.” He patted my back. “Quick! Finish up, you have more work to do.” He said and I nodded
“Yes sir,” I answered him with a salute.
“That’s my girl,” he applauded, his eyes warm with compassion.

“Hey, can I come in?” I asked pushing the door a little, and a taking a peep inside. Theo was sitting at the edge of the bed with his face buried in his palms.
He seemed to be in deep thoughts and didn’t hear me come in, I went in and patted his shoulders softly, announcing my presence and he looked up immediately, almost startled.
“Sorry about that, I didn’t mean to scare you,” I apologized immediately but he just looked at me blankly.
I gave him a warm smile, he barely returned it.
“Did Conner send you to come get me?” he asked as I sat beside him, “I’m not a child, you know right?”
“I came here on my own accord,” I assured him and he fell on his back, on the bed. I did the same, with my hands under my head. “It’s hard isn’t it?” I asked him,
“You bet,” he uttered looking at the ceiling.
“I’m sorry your whole life just changed drastically without your permission,” I sympathized with him and he looked in my direction with a snort.
