“Do you think it would have made any difference if I had given my consent? I mean it’d still be the same, wouldn’t it?” he wondered, his eyes lingering on mine

“I think you wouldn’t feel that you are being molded into something you are not, if you had given your consent,” I explained and he looked away slowly. There was a little silence and I knew he was having a rethink about what I said.

“You know, Conner asked me to dye my hair,” I informed him, hoping he would see that he was not the only one sacrificing to accomplish that goal. And he faced me almost immediately, I had to bite my lower lip to stop myself from laughing since he was still sober.

“He did?” he questioned me curiously and I managed a nod, glad he was getting interested.

“He said a bodyguard needs to be visible and almost invincible at the same time. Having red hair would make it difficult for me,” I chipped and he looked at me quietly before he spoke again

“What color did he suggest?”

“Black, of course,” my mind blurted but I only said “Black…” to him

“Well, black hair, and a black out will surely look gorgeous on you, don’t you think?” he smirked and I knew he was referring to the outfit I had worn earlier.

“I also think, going through all the training and bringing out the real Theodore in you will be fantastic.” I commented and he thought for a while before looking up the ceiling again with a smile.
