NYSC Begins Verification For Foreign Trained Graduates - 1 month ago

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has rolled out a nationwide verification exercise for Batch ‘C’ Service Year participants. This initiative is touted as a necessary measure to validate credentials and travel documents, but many are questioning the motives behind it.

Scheduled from November 10 to November 12, 2025, this verification will take place at various centers across the nation. Entitled “Notification of Physical Verification of Credentials and Travel Documents of Foreign-Trained Graduates for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Service Year,” this directive applies to those whose documents have mysteriously evaded scrutiny after online registration.

Locations for verification include the NYSC Secretariat in Enugu, Shadawanka Military Barracks in Bauchi, and the NYSC Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja, along with several sites in Kano, Lagos, Osogbo, Port Harcourt, Sokoto, and Yola.

The NYSC has mandated strict adherence to the date, time, and venue listed on verification slips, warning of overcrowding.  For medical graduates, the requirements demands additional licenses and registration certificates.

Moreover, for those who obtained their qualifications abroad, the NYSC has made it clear that only original evaluation letters from the Federal Ministry of Education will suffice at the headquarters in Abuja.

In a last minute attempt to appease frustrated graduates, the NYSC has extended the online registration period by an additional 48 hours, citing network issues that plagued many applicants.
