Newly Released Emails Show Elon Musk Discussed Trip To Epstein’s Private Island - 1wk ago

Elon Musk is facing renewed scrutiny after newly released documents from the Epstein files revealed a 2013 email exchange in which the billionaire discussed a possible visit to Jeffrey Epstein’s private island, apparently contradicting his earlier public denials.

The correspondence shows Musk writing to Epstein in December 2013, stating that he would be in the British Virgin Islands over the holidays and asking whether it would be a good time to visit the island. The tone of the message suggests Musk was initiating the discussion, rather than responding to an invitation.

In a reply sent two days later, Epstein welcomed the idea, telling Musk there was “always space for you” and proposing that he stop by at the start of the new year. On Christmas Day, Epstein followed up again, offering to pick Musk up on January 2 or 3 and arrange the logistics for the visit.

Subsequent emails show Musk initially saying he needed to return to Los Angeles on the night of January 2, then revising his plans and suggesting he could instead fly in on January 1. Epstein responded that any date between January 1 and January 8 would work, adding that they could “play it by ear.”

The documents do not indicate whether the trip ultimately took place. There are no flight logs or additional records in this batch directly confirming that Musk set foot on the island, leaving a key question unanswered even as the emails undercut his previous narrative.

Musk has repeatedly sought to distance himself from Epstein. In an earlier release of Epstein-related records, his name appeared among those who had some form of contact with the disgraced financier. At the time, Musk publicly insisted that he had rebuffed Epstein’s efforts to bring him to the island, writing on social media that Epstein “tried to get me to go to his island and I REFUSED.”

The newly surfaced emails appear to challenge that account by showing Musk actively coordinating dates for a potential visit. Legal experts note that while the messages alone do not establish wrongdoing, they raise questions about the accuracy of Musk’s prior statements and the extent of his relationship with Epstein.

Musk has been asked to comment on the latest disclosures but has not issued a response.
