Topic: The Influence of Mobile Phones on Students’ Education
Introduction
Advanced search techniques make it easier to find specific information on the internet. For this assignment, I chose the topic “The Influence of Mobile Phones on Students’ Education.” I used five advanced search techniques that are different from the techniques already discussed in class.
1. Allintitle Search
Search query:
allintitle: mobile phones students education
How I came up with my result:
I used the allintitle: search technique to find webpages that have all the important words in their titles. This helped me find articles that were directly related to mobile phones and students’ education.
2. Allintext Search
Search query:
allintext: mobile phones students education
How I came up with my result:
I used allintext: to find webpages where all the words in my search appeared in the main text. This helped me find information that discussed my topic more directly.
3. Allinurl Search
Search query:
allinurl: mobile phones education
How I came up with my result:
I used allinurl: to find webpages whose web addresses contained the words related to my topic. This helped me locate websites that were specifically focused on education and mobile phones.
4. Before Search
Search query:
mobile phones education before:2021
How I came up with my result:
I used the before: search technique to find information published before 2021. This allowed me to look at earlier research and understand what people were saying about the use of mobile phones in education before that period.
5. After Search
Search query:
mobile phones education after:2023
How I came up with my result:
I used the after: search technique to find more recent information published after 2023. This helped me find newer discussions about how mobile phones are being used by students for educational purposes.
Conclusion
The five advanced search techniques helped me find information about the influence of mobile phones on students’ education more effectively. They allowed me to narrow my search according to the title, webpage address, content, and date of publication. Using these techniques also saved time and helped me find information that was more relevant to my topic.
