Ten minutes later I am at her doorstep.

"Good to see you Avery. You look…" she paused to assess me. "Are you fine?"

"Yea, shall we?"

"Of course. I promise we won't even kiss." I rolled my eyes. That was a promise she could not keep. "I'll just give him this package and be done." She said, shaking the box gently with a smile. I smiled back- a fake smile though.

Leah is a very beautiful, tall blonde with brown eyes. Every boy's dream.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm invincible.  

"Hi Avery," Josh smiled weirdly. I don't like him but I have to pretend for the sake of Leah.

"Hey… Josh." I waved briefly before dipping my hands into my pocket.

"Hi…" Leah called sweetly and I watched as he opened his arms wide and she walked right into it.

He embraced her. I watched. And then she tilted her head towards his. He cupped her face and there goes the promise she made to me.

I looked away and... straight into his piercing blue eyes, my eyes went. I froze. It's him again, so handsome in a suit.

Suddenly there was a rush of energy all over my body. He was heading another direction. 

"Leah," I called to excuse myself but they were kissing. 

I turned and ran in the direction he was going.
