“And wealthy huh?” she asked and I scoffed

“Who cares?” I asked wordlessly.

“Yeah… and wealthy,” I added and I noticed the spark in her eyes died, “Don’t get this wrong, I am as local and inexperienced in this field of wealth as you are, don’t expect so much from me,” I assured her and we both laughed softly. There was a little silence fell.

“By the way, I haven’t even thanked you for helping me. Thank you,” she broke the silence, looking into my eyes

“Are you kidding me? I should be the one thanking you for helping me,” I uttered honestly

“Still, I should thank you… my father would have ended up dying eventually if you didn’t help me,” she stated and I looked away. Her father was terribly sick but in the real sense, he was just a bait to getting her to agree to being my guard. I am the helpless one, she is the helper.

“Look at me,” I replied but I didn’t meet her gaze, I looked out the window. “Tall, broad chest, macho, an extremely handsome face,” I listed before meeting her gaze with a smirk “yet, I am just a waste, I don’t even know how to defend myself,”

“But you, small, frail and a cute lady single handedly trashed the masked men who came to kill me… I can never repay you,” I declared honestly as memories of her beating up those men flashed through my mind. “I’d be a dead man if it weren’t for you Summer,” She smiled as she looked at me from my head to my toe
