The Jewish woman who infiltrated the Islamic regime in Iran 🇮🇷 story 👇🏽

Between 2014 and 2017, Katherine Perez Shakdam posed as a devout Shia Muslim convert, gaining extraordinary access to Iran's political and religious elite. A French-born Jewish woman with secular views, she reinvented herself as an anti-Zionist voice and wrote extensively for Iranian state-run outlets, including Mehr News and Tasnim.

She cultivated deep relationships with Iranian scholars, politicians, and hardline media, even earning the trust of figures close to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. Her articles were used to validate regime narratives, unaware that the author was deceiving them from within.

Shakdam quietly disappeared from the Iranian media scene around 2017. But in 2021, she resurfaced publicly revealing her true identity in a bombshell Times of Israel piece, admitting she was never Muslim, had always been pro-Israel, and had used the regime's own ideological blind spots to gain insider access.
