Narrator: Schooling in the Northern part of Nigeria is a great advantage, especially being a student at one of the most prestigious institutions, Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Kaduna state, Nigeria. My first day at the university was a bit overwhelming because I didn’t know who my lecturers were or anyone around at that time. However, while trying to locate my department with a map on my phone, I met two wonderful friends, Wasilat and Fatima, who happened to be in my department and course mates. They were from the Southern part of Nigeria. Making friends in university is relatively easy, but it depends on the kind of friends you want to have.”
