DON'T TRY ME - 1 year ago

When I was a kid, growing up in a compound. I once slapped my neighbor’s kid. He was the landlord’s son.

He was being  troublesome, we were playing a game of bottle tops and he was asking for it. I lost my cool and landed him a hot slap. He screamed and  started wailing.

I jejely went into our apartment and sat down watching a cartoon. I could hear his mother asking for me. My mum was trying to calm her down but the woman kept calling for me loudly. I eventually came out and the woman lunged at me with warnings. She dragged me to come and see what I did to her boy.

For one slap? Abeg

Then I saw the boy. My three fingers were visible on his cheeks, red hot welts on his light skinned face. Omo, how did one slap metamorphose to an imprint on the face? I was a bit confused because I could swear the slap wasn’t that serious.

That’s when I discovered my slap was very dangerous (in Indabosky’s voice). I looked at my hands and said wow. Part of me was scared, the other one was excited over this new “power” I had discovered. Since that day I swore never to slap another human being again.
Now if you get on my last nerves. I won’t slap you but I will punch you unapologetically (Yep, that’s the plot twist).

I’ve been an expert at keeping my cool since that day and I try my best to avoid people. I’ve been working out, my knuckles are aching. I haven’t had time to test my punch yet but I will. Woe to that person sha.
Till then let’s be guided.
I come in peace. Shallom.😊❤
