Mama Ebube happened to be a no-nonsense woman, and also a troublesome person, feared in the residence.

Yes, what is it? Mama Ebube said. (Coming out of her house)

You and your children know very well that I hate people misusing that toilet. I don't know what it will take you guys to ensure that the toilet is clean after use.

Go and look at the toilet that your daughter flushed, go and see how disgusting it... (before she finished talking, Mummy Ebube cut her short.)

This stupid woman, so it's because of toilet that you came to disrupt what I'm doing inside. Do you even know what I was doing before you brought your disgusting and chubby self to my veranda?

But come to think of it, is it because we live together in the slums that you just feel that you can walk up to me and spit whatever rubbish that fills your mouth?

The next thing I heard was bang, it was a sound slap from Mummy Ebube's hand, to our caretaker's face, and a fight followed.

These women fought for almost an hour, with stones and whatever they could lay their hands on.

After the fight, they both sat down on the floor, with torn clothes.

God knows that I wouldn't dare to get myself involved, in the name of separating fight.

The next day, our caretaker called for a compound meeting, that involved all the females in the compound. She said that she doesn't understands why practically all the women in the compound, look down on her because of her simplicity and humility. ('In my mind, I was like.. who is humble?' It's like this woman brought us here for jokes.) Then she made a new rule.
