Episode 11
At the end of everything, we just had to call an electrician to fix the light, for peace to reign.
***
It was a Wednesday morning, and that particular day, it was my turn to wash toilets and bathrooms.
I was washing the toilet, when our caretaker came, and asked me if she can use it, I permitted her.
Few seconds later, she came out, and started ranting, raining abuses at me, there was nothing she didn't say.
'Felicia, why is it that you always like making me to talk?' Why is it that whenever it reaches your turn to wash toilets, it'll be a hell of problem for you?
Other people will wash the toilet, and you'll come and sit down and enjoy it, but your case use to be different. See the seat of the toilet, water did not even touch it, look at the drainage, the same thing, my landlady said.
With all due respect ma, this is a public toilet, I try my best, but no matter how you wash it, public toilet will always be public toilet.
Don't tell me that, Felicia, if you cannot wash public toilet well, even if you get married, you won't wash private toilets well in your husband's house.
And she kept spilling all the rubbish in her mouth.
We argued for long, I was arguing with her, speaking fluent English, she was also struggling to speak English fluently too, and surprisingly, it was coming out well.
To be continued in my next post.
