Troops of the Nigerian Army have destroyed a medical facility believed to be operated by terrorists during coordinated raids across parts of the North-West, recording a major operational gain in Sokoto State. The facility, according to military sources, was used to treat wounded fighters and sustain criminal activities in the region.

During the operation, soldiers engaged the terrorists in a brief firefight, leading to the killing of one operative, while others reportedly fled into surrounding forests with possible gunshot wounds. Items recovered at the scene included six AK-47 rifles and other military-related materials, further confirming the camp’s use as a support hub for armed groups terrorising local communities.

The army said the raids form part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks, deny them logistics and medical support, and restore security in the North-West. Residents have been urged to continue providing timely intelligence to security agencies, as the military reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining pressure on criminal elements until lasting peace is achieved in the region.
