Her Journey into Science Communication 

Nkechi’s journey in science communication began with traditional journalism, but she soon recognized the need for a dedicated space focused on science reporting in Nigeria. This led her to establish Science Nigeria, a media platform that covers biotechnology, climate change, agriculture, and other science and technology topics that shape the nation’s future. 

Beyond reporting, she is also infamously known for her role as a science communicator and mentor — helping young reporters understand how to translate technical research into simple language that reaches broader audiences. She has been recognized as an Alliance for Science Global Leadership Fellow, reflecting her commitment to truthful and impactful science communication. 
 

Her dedication to evidence‑based reporting strengthens public understanding of critical issues such as agricultural biotechnology and climate resilience, positioning her work at the intersection of science, policy, and society.
