Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has revealed that she turned down several lucrative opportunities, including offers linked to politics, because they conflicted with her personal beliefs.

Speaking during a recent interview, the actress said she had been placed in situations where she could have made enormous wealth if she had compromised her principles.

According to her, “I’ve been put in situations where no one would have known, and I would have taken things and compromised my stand… i said NO and i walked away many times.”

Omotola added that some of the individuals involved in those offers are still watching her today, noting that the decisions were not always about rejecting illegal or bad opportunities, but about protecting her values and the message she represents.

“I tell people if I wanted to be a billionaire, i would have been it easily,” she said, explaining that accepting certain deals would have weakened her beliefs and the principles she stands for.

The actress further stated that although some of the opportunities appeared harmless on the surface, she believed they would eventually “dilute” her message, which is why she chose to walk away despite the financial rewards attached.
