Trump Fires Back After Grammy Jokes
After the 2026 Grammy Awards, U.S. President Donald Trump publicly criticised the ceremony and its host Trevor Noah. Trump called the awards show “virtually unwatchable” on his Truth Social platform and said Noah’s remarks crossed a line.

What Trevor Noah Said
During the broadcast, Noah joked that the “Song of the Year” award was something artists want “almost as much as Trump wants Greenland” — and added that since Jeffrey Epstein’s island is gone, Trump needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton. The audience reacted with laughs and gasps to that quip.

Trump’s Response
Trump rejected Noah’s comments as “false and defamatory,” insisting he has never visited Epstein’s island or been accused of doing so — “not even by the fake news media,” he wrote. He criticised Noah personally, calling him “a total loser” and claimed the show was “the worst.”
He also threatened legal action, saying he plans to send his lawyers after Noah for “plenty” of money and warned Noah to “get his facts straight,” adding he’ll “have some fun” with the case.
