Social animals we all are — are we not?
We crave community.
We may sometimes admire the crest of the lone wolf,
but somehow, we still find ourselves walking in packs again.
Social animals we all are — are we not?
We deny running our lives like polls for impressions,
yet deep down, we crave to impress someone… anyone —
especially the ones we look up to:
Boss, Mentors, Parents?
Social animals we all are — are we not?
It takes two to tango,
and no one wants to be left alone on the dance floor.
Do we accept what we are?
Do we even know how far we would go
to satisfy this craving for connection?
Perhaps the idea of community is what we truly need.
But lately, I reckon that “community” has been replaced
by a more polished, more fashionable synonym —
one that is slowly becoming its opposite.
