Being on set, behind the scenes, has honestly been one of the most intense but rewarding experiences for me.
From the moment I step in, it’s go time. There’s barely a second to just stand around. Everyone is moving, adjusting, setting up, fixing something. I’ve had moments where I felt overwhelmed, trying to keep up with instructions, watching the clock, and making sure I don’t miss any detail. It can be stressful, especially when things don’t go as planned and you have to think fast.
But at the same time, I genuinely enjoy it.
There’s something about seeing everything come together that makes the stress worth it. Watching a scene transform from just words on paper into something real right in front of me. Seeing how lighting changes the mood of a space, how props and set design create atmosphere, how every small role matters. Being behind the scenes has made me appreciate how much work goes into what people casually watch on a screen.
I’ve also learned a lot about myself. I’ve learned how to stay calm under pressure, how to communicate better, and how important teamwork really is. No one can do it alone. If one person slips, it affects everyone. That alone has taught me responsibility in a way that classroom learning never could.
At the end of the day, I’m usually tired. Sometimes very tired. But there’s always this sense of pride. Knowing I was part of something creative, something bigger than just me. It’s stressful, yes. But it’s also fun, educational, and honestly, exactly the kind of environment that pushes me to grow.
