Ikenna organized a group of local youths, including the troubled Anaele, to rob and kidnap Okoko in Amala. Unaware of the target's identity, Anaele and his accomplices broke into Okoko's house. "Lie down and do not move!" they shouted at the man reading a newspaper.

Having found the automated teller machine cards and cash, the robbers considered killing their victim to eliminate witnesses."Please," the man cried out, “I am Okoko. My life's goal has been to help people. I have wronged no one. Spare me!”

The name struck Anaele like lightning. "Do you know someone called Oshimiri?" he cautiously asked.

"Yes, yes!" Okoko exclaimed. “He is my dearest friend!”

Anaele was overwhelmed with shame. "I will spare your life," he declared, "not just because you are kind, but because you are a true friend." Anaele remembered how Mr. Okoko had tried to save his mother's life. "Your boy Ikenna sent us, directing our every move. You are a good person, so be mindful of how you trust people," he told their intended victim.

The robbers returned everything they had taken from Okoko and left, their identities still concealed. Reflecting on the incident, Okoko marveled, "So kindness saved my life today, Thank God!" he said.

However, a nagging question remained in his mind. "Who were these thieves?" he wondered. "And how did they know about my friend Oshimiri?" The mention of his old friend's name by the robbers puzzled him deeply, adding another layer of mystery to the frightening experience.
