📖BIBLE TEXT: ISAIAH 40:1-2
🔎📖 Isaiah 40:2 “A voice of one calling:
“In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”

God called the prophet to prepare the land for His visitation. He described it as preparing a way in the wilderness and in the desert, all for Him. The prophet was to be the agent of preparation but after that, he was to step aside because it was all solely for the Lord. God still seeks agents of transformation who will step out with His anointing to reach this troubled world, preparing men for the soon coming King and step aside to let Him take all the glory. Just as Jesus said, He still wants us to go, loose and bring men to Him. Revival is all about the Him!

👉🏽 LOOSE THEM
Matthew 21:2 “Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them…”

Like the tied donkeys, the Master has need of people to come to the knowledge of His saving Grace and His glorious plans for each person. Let us prepare the way for the Lord by bringing the message of liberation to those in bondage. People are tied by social, cultural, traditional, psychological, financial or habitual ropes. We have the truth of the gospel which has the power to help them find their true concept of identity, importance, incentive and impact in life. Without the true knowledge of these four things, bondage is inevitable in life. So, if all Christians are like you, will the land be prepared for God’s visitation? Go and prepare the way for the Lord!

👉🏽 BRING THEM TO HIM
Matthew 21:2 “…and bring them to Me.”

Though we are called to reach out to people, our task is incomplete until those that have been left unreached also reach Jesus. It is not enough to loose them, we must also lead them to Him by deliberate and practical Christ-like living in the public space. If people around you emulate you will they look like Jesus? Will they reach Jesus? Can Jesus find anyone you have brought usable? Are you making disciples around you? You can’t give what you don’t have. Perhaps the question should be, are you a disciple of Jesus? Only disciples can bring men to Jesus. There is a call to go and prepare the way for the Lord! If everyone is like you, will the Lord’s way be made ready?

Come unto Him, and He will give you rest.

PRAYER 🙏🏾
Faithful Father! As the end draws near please awaken my heart to the call to prepare the way in the wilderness and highway for You! I receive the grace to loose and bring people to You for Your glory alone, O Christ! Amen.
