Are We Really Independent? - 1 year ago

Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Could this be why Nigeria is what it is today? Are we not learning from the past to improve the future? Or are we actually neglecting the future and focusing on the past with all the errors that came with it?

So many questions are in my head, yet no one to answer. I am burning with desires and aspirations that are far beyond my reach. I keep wandering, what does tomorrow hold for me? For you? For us?

The future of Nigeria is at stake. Naira has lost its value. The cost of living is unbearable. No wonder why HUNGER is the daily bread we must eat to survive, if not, why are we living as though all is good and perfect?

I wake up every morning with a smile on my face, yet my eyes are bleeding with pains, anger, and hate I cannot control.

Today we celebrate Nigeria’s 64th birthday. An old woman she is with no tangible achievements because her older children are busy misusing power while her little ones are crying for help. Big brothers are suppose to assist mama by training her little one, but all their worries are on controlling mama and making her obey their commands.

Why are we screaming "HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, NIGERIA?” when it is a lie.

I want you to solve this equation by showing proof; ARE WE REALLY INDEPENDENT?
