Omo yesterday was pure drama at the UniAbuja gate ๐Ÿ˜‚

We took Keke from the park as usual. Once we reached the gate, we had to drop so the security men could check IDs  normal routine.

Now one guy inside our Keke didnโ€™t have his ID card. Not because he lost it o, but because 200 level IDs havenโ€™t even been shared finish!

Bros tried explaining, even showed his class group chat and school fee receipt. Still, the security man said โ€œNo ID, no entry.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Out of frustration, the guy asked, โ€œOga, when you see a thief, wonโ€™t you know?โ€

And the security man replied, โ€œAm I a ghost?โ€ ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€

Thatโ€™s where wahala started. Security man vexed, saying the guy was trying to teach him his job.

Meanwhile, another man inside the Keke (who turned out to be a staff) was already running late. Baba just stopped a bike to leave, and the Keke driver ran after him like, โ€œOga, you never pay me my money o!โ€ ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Me and another student had to go back to help the guy that was stopped. We begged, even apologized to the security man.

But deep down, I was just thinking why stop a student whoโ€™s clearly from the school, all because of an ID card that hasnโ€™t even been shared yet?

You didnโ€™t check his bag, you didnโ€™t confirm if he was a threat โ€”you just focused on the ID.

Meanwhile, people who say they came to โ€œmake enquiriesโ€ enter freely.

Likeโ€ฆ whatโ€™s really the logic here? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

๐Ÿ’ญ What do yโ€™all think?

Was the security man right for insisting on the ID card?

Or should there be a better way to verify students?

Drop your thoughts ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ letโ€™s gist.
