“Let me see your arm,” she requested but he refused. She narrowed her eyes,

“Are you hiding something from me?” she asked, approaching him. She got to him and pulled his shirt. She gasped the moment she saw that his arm was bruised.

“Are you crazy? How can you hide something like this from me?” she raised her voice a little.

“It is just a small bruise, it’ll heal by tomorrow.” He said defensively.

“What’s going on here?” Conner asked, walking in with a few plastic bags in his hand.

Summer suspected that it was lunch.

“He got bruised and didn’t say a word about it.” She reported and Conner shot Theo a glare. He set the bags on the dining table and walked to them

“Let me see,” Conner insisted and Theo showed him.

Conner got spirit and cotton wool from the first aid box in the study and treated Theo’s arm with it.

“It should be fine by tomorrow.” He assured them and Summer heaved.

“Summer,” Conner called her. She was already heading for her room. She turned quickly.

“Yes,” she answered.

“You did a great job today, well done,” he praised, but she didn’t look happy about. Instead she folded her arms under her breast.

“About that… how did you know that we would be needing a car? I mean the car was already parked there waiting?” she asked Conner and watched him keenly.

“I went to the cemetery with the car to help get you out, I ran into the others and I had to help them. When you called, I only directed you to the car.” He answered, but she was not convinced. Nevertheless, she nodded.

“Okay.” She said.
