I have been in and out of Duolingo Since I started using the learning platform in September 2023.
But I always found my way back.
I left this year too yet I still got my wrapped.
Duolingo says he is so proud of me.
I quit Duolingo this year because I realised I was not learning properly. I practice 5 minutes to the next day so I do not cut my streak. It did not feel like a learning process anymore, it felt like a responsibility I had to complete. Sometimes, I was overwhelmed and would fail half of the lessons, lol, something I would have aced on a normal day.
So I put a stop to it in October when I was seriously down with typhoid.
I started anew this month—unsure, tired, choked. But I made a vow to always show up for my Duolingo lessons every single day no matter how choked up my day or week may be. If I can spare 30 minutes of my day to scroll through X(formerly Twitter) for news and gist, I sure can show up on my Duolingo for 30 minutes everyday too.
Duolingo, for me, is not just a platform for practicing French. It is also a way for me to measure how consistent I can be and I'm so glad I got to it again this December.
Enjoy my wrapped, and if God wills, I'd be back next year to show you again!

And yes, once I am perfect in this language, no one will hear word!😹
Aurevoir.
Merci Beaucoup.
