A few weeks ago, I was in a situation with my fellow corps members at our PPA.
Two people annoyed our boss, the one who’s supposed to sign our monthly clearance and he decided not to sign for any of us.
When we went to apologize the first time, he got so angry that he walked out on all of us. At that point, those of us who were innocent started asking ourselves what we did wrong 😂😂
But I realized that when it comes to dealing with certain authorities, even when you’re right, you’re still wrong.
It reminded me of a neighbor who once reported me to my parents, claiming I didn’t greet her when I actually did but she just didn’t hear me.
I was told to go to her house, greet her again, and still apologize for her not hearing my greeting 😂😭From that day, I made sure to greet her loud enough until she responded.
There are just some situations where being right doesn’t matter. Sometimes, the wiser thing is to keep quiet and let things go, even if it feels unfair.
Life has taught me that being right doesn't aways matter, sometimes peace is more important than proving a point.
