Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reaffirmed her commitment to empowering the younger generation, stating her desire to serve as a positive role model for girls across the country. She made this known during the inauguration of the Dream Centre at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, an initiative aimed at nurturing confidence, leadership, and ambition among young people.
Speaking at the event, Mrs Tinubu emphasized the importance of giving girls the right guidance and support to help them believe in their potential. She noted that many young girls struggle with self-doubt and societal limitations, stressing that platforms like the Dream Centre are designed to provide mentorship, education, and a safe environment for personal development.
The First Lady described the project as part of her broader vision to shape a generation of empowered and responsible citizens. She urged students to dream boldly and remain focused despite challenges, adding that investing in young people today is key to building a stronger and more inclusive Nigeria tomorrow.
