Nobody escapes old age and death. Our existence as individuals is merely like a brief flare from a struck matchstick. Yet, most people behave as if they have eternity on their side; they go about their lives engaging in the mundane and getting engrossed in the trivial that holds no real significance. Just yesterday, we were young, and today we have aged; in time, even the brightest stars in the sky will wither away, just like a fleeting flame in the endless continuum of existence without us.
In the end, it is as if we have never existed at all. All our ambitions, conquests, disputes, romances, and loves are condensed into just a pinpoint of a fleeting moment. So, don’t be too hard on yourself, because all things come and go without needing your intervention.
