Pain
The excruciating sensation
That squeezes your chest
and threatens your breath
The only tap
that opens a dam of tears
And leaves you in despair
The feeling that shoves a huge lump down your throat
And expects you to swallow with ease
It rips you of your sanity
And makes you delirious
It denies you the little string of hope and peace
But abundantly rewards you with torment and grief
I feel this stifling sensation
An unpleasant one.
I feel pain
Not the type inflicted by physical harm or injury
I feel the pain of not being heard
The pain of not belonging
The pain of being lonely and sad
Of not being seen.
