Honestly, this whole accommodation issue for freshers in UNILAG is becoming too much.
We’re basically in week 7, and a lot of us still don’t have any place to stay on campus.

Some people are coming from really far places Ibadan, Abeokuta, even within Lagos but far away from Akoka and it’s not fair that the only available options are private hostels that are way too expensive for most students.

It’s frustrating because we’ve been waiting, hoping things will be sorted by now.
Instead, it feels like freshers are the ones suffering the most, and it shouldn’t be like that.
We just want a safe, affordable place to stay while we focus on school and settling in.

I really hope UNILAG does something soon, because not everyone can afford hundreds of thousands for private accommodation.
We deserve better as new students😭
