THE JOURNEY: FRO
Everybody was ready to go, we had family and church reps in Jos who followed us to the village and it was time to go. We prayed seriously o, we knew the shege that lied ahead.
Just on the outskirts of the village, the car went off. It was an electrical fault (Where are we supposed to get an electrician abeg). We burned two hours plus trying different ideas. The driver tried something and it came on. Thank you Jesus, soon as we entered, there was smoke everywhere, the driver seat caught fire. God abeg.We pushed the bus again, all that 6 plates of food disgested o. hunger wire me.The road was bad, I can’t stress it enough. Only Vin Diesel can drive on that road ahswear.💯
We decided to hook the bus to the Sharon, let it drive us. The ropes kept cutting at every pothole. We got a motorcycle and my cousin had to go to the next village to buy a stronger rope. We couldn’t hop inside cause the weight wouldn’t allow it move past the potholes and muddy terrain. That’s how we walked to the next village o.
We caught up with the bus in Agbashi and hurray, they found someone who made a connection that worked. We got in past 6pm and continued the journey. We got to the next village, they called it Idadu. It was dark and we couldn’t continue because the people said the road ahead was dangerous to travel at night. Luckily, we found a tribesman who gave us a place to sleep in through the night. My brother and the driver slept in the bus. I couldn’t sleep, mosquitoes wan kill me (The window was open all night, omo). I kept checking the time till morning.
We got up and went back to the bus. We found a mechanic who worked on it. By 10am we were on the move.
continued on next pub.
