Gender is a sensitive topic that seems to start conversations that should probably include trigger warnings. This conversation constantly trends on every social media platform regardless of race and social background. 

Gender roles are as old as time because they are products of societal norms and traditions. Today, these roles are being questioned and reinforced daily both virtually and physically. 

Feminism is said to be a school of thought that strives to resolve the female aspect of gender issues but it is currently an obvious click bait. Society is ever ready to find faults in the proposed "gender equality" campaign. We have gone from seeing taunts about women going above and beyond to compete with men for the bare minimum to splitting the bills on dates.

While gender equality is still an ongoing campaign, several activists and scholars have proposed “gender equity” as an alternative. They are basically saying that while gender equality is the goal, women should be given the facilities that will enable them attempt to accomplish similar goals as men.
