"THE SILENCE WE LOST" - 1 year ago

In the serene hills of Southern Kaduna, a community lived in harmony, surrounded by lush green forests and sparkling streams. Their days were filled with laughter and music, as they tilled the land and tended to their animals. Children played freely, their innocent laughter echoing through the valleys.

The community was a tapestry of love and kindness, woven with threads of different cultures and traditions. They celebrated their differences and found strength in their unity.

But one fateful day, the tranquility was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Gunmen descended upon the community, leaving destruction and death in their wake. The once peaceful hills were now a scene of carnage and despair.

The survivors were left anguished, their hearts heavy with grief and their minds consumed by confusion and a thirst for vengeance. They wandered the ruins of their homes, searching for loved ones and answers.

As the sun set over the devastated community, a young girl was found, her eyes wide with trauma, clinging to her dead mother's hand. She was the last survivor of her family, left alone in a world that had been turned upside down.

As the community came together to mourn and bury their dead, they realized that their beautiful and peaceful world would never be the same again. The attack had left a scar that would take a lifetime to heal.

The young girl's eyes seemed to hold the pain of the entire community, a poignant reminder of what had been lost. As they buried their loved ones, they knew that they would never forget the day that their peace was shattered.

And as they stood amidst the ruins, a haunting question echoed in their minds: “What kind of world are we building, where the sound of gunfire can shatter the peace, and the laughter of children can be silenced forever?”
