We’re in that season where we say farewell to our alarm clocks — at least for a while. The time we step away from the daily grind. And really, isn’t that what vacations are all about? An escape. A chance to unburden, to ease up, to look at life from the brighter side.
Those precious two weeks — for most of us, anyway. Some friends will still be working straight through to the New Year. But for those lucky enough to take a break, whether alone or with family, friends, a partner… or even your cat or Puppy— I hope you truly vacate.
Take your foot off the pedal. Let love and peace settle where urgency usually lives. Offer a helping hand. Share a smile with the person next to you. Send a simple text to the first name that pops into your mind.
Because the alarm clock will be back sooner than we think.
Enjoy the pause while it lasts.
