Look what we have here! ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Let's tell you about last week's run-down of each and every class!
How fun will this be? ๐Ÿ˜ณ
The Association of Veterinary Medical Students of UNN held their first Congress on the 1st of July since their resumption on the 1st of June.
The Congress inaugurated its new editorial board members as well as its open week Committee members.
Students were once again advised to pay their dues, as this governs the quality of the association's operations in the faculty.
The faculty staff and student representatives traveled to Anambra State for the burial of Professor Rita Udegbunam on the 2nd of July. Professor Rita was a Professor of Veterinary Anesthesiology and a key figure in education for the Department of Veterinary Surgery. We pray her beloved soul rests in peace.
A last week run-down of the activities in the final year class
The faculty's finalists in DVM V continue to push forward with the progress of their project work, as they are expected to be done in time for their defense this semester.
They still remain active in extracurricular events, as they bagged a 3-nil victory against the first-year boys' football team, placing them on top of the table with DVM IV.
A last week run-down of the activities in the 5th year class
The penultimate class of DVM V seems to be experiencing a relatively calm semester compared to other classes, as they have had a fair share of free time and are only getting to write their first test of the semester on the 8th of July. Must be nice having only eight courses in a semester after having over ten courses for three semesters in a row.
They are performing well in extracurricular activities, having secured a 4-1 victory against the DVM I class.
The class has also been tasked with the planning of the upcoming open week on the 3rd till 9th of August, which happens to be their third and final open week as vet students, same for the final years.
They hope to see active participation from all classes, as that's what makes the open week fun.
A last week run-down of the activities in the fourth year class
Well, the 4th year class representative must be a genius, because he enforced the payment of class dues by just taking a simple action: creating a new official WhatsApp group, so if you don't pay, you won't be added, and that is totally fine. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ญ
They encountered a lecturer whose character has been a funny one. Should I call his name? Hell nah, but he has been shouting "Iiiiii" in class since he started teaching. ๐Ÿ˜‚
Brethren, can we take a moment to appreciate these guys? ๐Ÿฅน
They were so exceptional in football that both the girls and the boys of the 4th year class scored a goal during the matches held on Saturday.
According to them, numerous tests have been cancelled, and this incoming week will be a week of war for the 4th years.
A last week run-down of the activities in the 3rd year class
The 3rd year students seem to be a little ahead of everyone.
Every lecture was held except a few of them.
They seem to have been good students; most of them attended classes, except for some "isi ike" students. ๐Ÿ˜‚
Their girls had a thorough football game, but were so unwilling to give up that they played a defensive game throughout. ๐Ÿ˜‚
A last week run-down of the activities in the 2nd year class
We all know they just started using the main veterinary curriculum.
Lectures were held in the anatomy lab and in their classroom (I can't help but imagine the stress of traversing from one place to another, but they will be fine ๐Ÿ˜‚).
Their footballers played really well. Their male footballers scored a goal (just a goal, though ๐Ÿ˜‚), while their females were caught up in defense, so they couldn't score any goal.
They went to the "vet farm" to do hands-on palpation on some animals. They touched the goats, cattle, and the "little for nothing" chickens that were there (I can't help but imagine how scared they were doing that, and I just hope no one was bullied by a bull).
