So I know I'm like really late for this but here's my take on the review of the movie
LOVE IN VERY WORD is a 2025 Nigerian romantic drama that’s less “boy meets girl” and more “man buys girl’s office building to get her number.” Directed by Omoni Oboli, the film stars Bamike “Bam Bam” as Chioma and Uzor Arukwe as Obiora.
What stood out most to me were the themes of emotional healing and forgiveness. Chioma isn’t just avoiding love—she’s running from past trauma and a complicated relationship with her father. Obiora, on the other hand, is persistence personified. His actions may border on obsessive, but they also show a kind of vulnerability rarely shown in male leads.
The chemistry between the leads felt natural, and I appreciated the cultural touches—from Chioma’s Lagos career girl vibe to Obiora’s confident Igbo swagger. Though the pacing was a bit slow in parts and the ending slightly rushed, the film left me thinking about what we’re willing to do for love... and whether some people take it a bit too far.
And that's my review thanks for listening to me blab 😌
