Like a man who felt in a pool of cement, I was a hard man. 

You've put a padlock on my heart, the mind is boss now. 

For a while, it was in control

Then you weren't  looking and a pretty little thing smuggled in with a key and opened my heart up and gave it control. 

For a while I was enchanted by her. 

She made me soft again

She made me laugh, I loved making her laugh. 

It was fun, I didn't want it to end. 
She went away promising to return. I miss her.  

One day, the mind came for a surprise visit and met the house it left ajar.

 Locks on the ground. 

It called its people and they made a  lock. 

Restored the mind to its throne. 

She told me she missed me and I felt nothing. 

Absence makes the heart grow fonder but sorry girl
It's out of sight, out of mind here.
