Mom had developed a cold fever over She was shaking all through the night and couldn't sleep and even in her poor state,my eight months old brother wouldn't let her rest he would cry every chance he gets and my sweet mom has no choice but to breast feed him.

   Its morning already and my mom who had no time for herself all through the night is already up preparing breakfast for her children.Where my mom gets her strength from is one thing that always surprises me.

    My dad died few months ago.I thought the world was gonna end and life would be hell for me and my siblings but my mom never let that happen.She filled in the gap my dad left and made sure my siblings and I never lacked anything.She was everywhere at the same damn time.

   She's seen cooking, cleaning, washing and to top it all, taking care of my younger brother is like watching over a warlord.Despite all this, not once have I heard my mom complain.She does everything with a big smile on her face.

    “Mom I need money for my crayons”Bola my younger sister said that morning.

   “Go and pick the money in my purse”mom replied.

  When I heard those words from my mother,tears rolled down my eyes cos I knew the money was for her drugs.

   “Where do you get your strength from”I asked my mom.

“My love for you and your siblings is what keeps me going”mom replied with a smile on her face.
