The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has just dropped a bombshell for the 2025 Batch C prospective corps members! In a bold move, they've announced that call-up letters are now live on their official social media channels.
In a shocking twist, the NYSC has revealed that many corps members assigned to bustling Lagos and the heart of Nigeria, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), will be sent packing to distant states for their orientation. Lagos recruits will now have to go to Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Ogun, and Osun for their initial training, while FCT members are being funneled to camps in the far-flung regions of Kaduna, Niger, and Nasarawa.
This dramatic relocation comes as the NYSC admits it can only accommodate a meager 40 percent of registered candidates in its orientation programs.
In light of this chaos, the NYSC is sounding the alarm with a travel advisory urging prospective corps members to steer clear of traveling at night.
Moreover, the NYSC has issued a mandatory reminder: all necessary documents must be printed and signed before arriving at orientation camp.
The NYSC has released a mobilization timetable featuring key dates you absolutely cannot miss. Pre-camp physical verification for foreign-trained graduates is set from November 9 to 13, while ICT processing will occur between November 12 and 15. And don't forget: corps-producing institutions are expected to handle the delivery of deployment and call-up letters from November 16 to 18.
As the NYSC gears up for this year's orientation program, prospective corps members are urged to stay alert and follow all guidelines to avoid any last-minute hiccups.
