At the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, former President Donald Trump announced Senator J.D. Vance as his 2024 running mate. Held at the Fiserv Forum, the convention saw Trump officially nominated as the GOP's presidential candidate.

Via Truth Social, Trump praised Vance for upholding constitutional values and supporting the military, key to the "Make America Great Again" agenda. Trump's announcement followed a Pennsylvania assassination attempt, prompting him to adjust his acceptance speech to focus on national unity.

Trump also celebrated a legal victory with a federal judge dismissing one of his criminal cases. Despite ongoing legal challenges related to the 2020 election and a New York sentencing for a campaign finance violation, Trump remains optimistic, citing recent legal rulings in his favor.

As he prepares for his nomination acceptance speech, Trump readies to challenge President Joe Biden in what polls indicate will be a closely contested November election between the 78-year-old Trump and the 81-year-old Biden.
