Shadows Of Childhood - 1 year ago

A tender soul, once full of light
Now shrouded in darkness, without a fight
A childhood marred, by hands that should guide
Left to navigate, a world where love has died

The echoes of anger, the sting of cruel words
A heart once full of hope, now filled with blurred
Memories of joy, lost in a sea of pain
A childhood stolen, leaving only scars to remain

The weight of expectation, the pressure to conform
A delicate spirit, crushed by the weight of a storm
The absence of kindness, the lack of gentle care
A soul left to wither, like a flower without air

The consequences of neglect, the damage done so deep
A lifetime of struggles, a heart that cannot sleep
The search for validation, the quest for love and light
A journey to heal, from the shadows of a darkest night

But still, a glimmer of hope, a chance to break free
A chance to rediscover, the beauty of being me
To rise above the pain, to find a love that's true
To heal the wounds of childhood, and shine with a heart anew.
