Simi looked dumbfounded as she stared at a light blinding figure floating in front of her. She rubbed her eyes to make sure that she wasn't dreaming. But after she did and looked up again, it wasn't a dream. It was real.

The figure was a man. He wore a silky pure-white robe, had a red scarf on his shoulder and his hair was long. There was a bloody hole in each of his palms and feet. The man was smiling at her.

“Welcome, my daughter.” The man said to her.

Simi was still staring at him and was shocked that he spoke to her. She knew exactly who he was.

“Jesus Christ! You… I… This.” Simi didn't know whether to laugh or cry for joy.

“Welcome to heaven.” Christ said and stretched His hand forward. “Come, I have prepared a place for you.”

Simi quickly stood up and reached for His hand. Just then, she saw a hole. The hole showed her parents and siblings. Her mother was crying and wailing. Her father had his head bowed. Her brother and sister were shaking her body, as though they could wake her up.

“My daughter! How could you leave us like this?” Simi heard her mother wail.

“She still had so many things to do. So many dreams to achieve.” Her brother lamented.

Simi suddenly remembered. She was involved in a car accident between her car and a big truck. The trick hit her car and crushed it and she had blacked out. Now, she was in heaven, face-to-face with the Lord.

She watched as her family cried and how lifeless her body was. She had many dreams to fulfill. She had many talents that were supposed to elevate herself and her family. To make them prosperous. To put their enemies to shame. And to also display God's love and mercy in her life.  Now, she was no more.

Christ was still standing there, waiting, with His hand still out for her to hold. But Simi was frozen. She was a true child of God, always doing the things of the lord and showing His fruits. She was also the child of her parents, whom she loved so much. She was stuck between going back to uplift her family and going with the Lord to the place He had prepared for her. She wanted to go home.

She looked at Him and asked. “Lord, what do I do?”

And the Lord said. “ He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.”

Simi blinked at Him. The answer was plain and clear. But yet, she still felt sad. She needed time to think but there was none. She looked back at the hole again. Her heart ached for them. She missed them. Then, she looked back at the Lord sorrowfully. That was enough for her.

She made her choice. She chose her home.
