The "cravings" Within - 1 year ago

Cravings, an unsatisfiable desire
That seeks gratification,
Just like the body craves food for its nourishment.

The human mind is the center of desires
That emanate from the soul.
The body craves the desires of the soul.

A soul filled with warmth desires sweetness,
Like a child who craves ice cream—
How delightful and sweet the taste!
Whereas a gloomy soul craves darkness
And seeks to drain out all sweetness,
Until there's nothing left
But an empty void.

A soul that lacks control over its desires
Is like a soldier cursed with bloodrage,
Seeking the ruin of other souls
Until he is consumed by the same fire
That burns within him.

Cravings, like wild fires, consume
But can be controlled.
Cravings, like nectar on wild flowers,
Are ready to be sucked by butterflies.
