Episode 8

'Who could believe that my dad will be this fine anytime soon?' It can only be God.

2 days later…

The doctor came and checked up on my dad, he said that my dad is okay now, that he could be discharged. So, the nurses came and removed my dad's drip and also took the hospital gown away.

That morning, all the members of my family were present at the hospital. Surprisingly, my aunt and her husband also came with them, my dad was so delighted that he had his whole family come to take him home. I and aunty Nneoma supported my dad to the car, and we all went home in my mom's car.

When we got home, everyone rushed inside the house, they acted like there was something they were hurrying to do, they just left my dad for me and aunty Nneoma to bring inside. (In my mind I was like...I just hope that it's not what I'm thinking.)

On getting inside, our sitting room was dark, as the bulbs were off, as soon as we got inside, what we heard was: Surprise!!! And the bulbs were turned on.

In our center table was this beautiful brown and white cake, by it's side was a bottle of red wine. Them my mom said and I quote: "this welcome party is being organized and held in respect of the  quick recovery and safe return of my husband, my joy giver, my world's best, the only one that makes me genuinely happy, from the hospital. We are  all delighted to have you back my love." Awwwn!
