Youths in Katsina State, under the banner of Struggle For Good Governance, took to the streets to protest ongoing economic hardship, insecurity, and poor governance.

Led by Habibu Ruma, the peaceful demonstration, titled “We Are Hungry and We Need Security Restored,” saw participants carrying placards with messages such as ‘End banditry now,’ ‘Economic hardship is high,’ ‘Reduce the high cost of governance,’ and ‘Stop the killings in the north.’

Despite their efforts, no state government officials were present to receive their letter of demands. The group outlined three key requests to the Federal Government: addressing insecurity, alleviating economic hardship, and restoring fuel subsidies.

The protest began at Kofar Sauri T-Junction and concluded at the New Katsina Government House.
