The Pain Of One-sided Relationship - 1 year ago

In the silence, a voice cries out, unheard and alone,
A heart beats fast, with love that's unreturned, unknown.
A one-sided relationship, a burden to bear,
A weight that presses down, with no one there to care.

The effort is one-sided, the emotions, unshared,
A solitary journey, with no one to spare.
The laughter is hollow, the tears, unseen,
A love that's unrequited, a heart that's unclean.

The days blend together, a never-ending haze,
A cycle of hope and hurt, in a daze.
The mind is a maze, with questions that roam,
"Why am I not enough?" "Is it me, or is it home?"

In this desolate landscape, a soul slowly dies,
A light that flickers out, with no one to realize.
The pain is a constant, a gnawing, hollow ache,
A longing for connection, a love that's at stake.

Let us recognize the signs, the emptiness, the pain,
And find the strength to walk away, to break the chain.
For love should be a flame, that burns bright and true,
Not a solo endeavor, with only one heart that's bruised and blue.
