Recently there has been a drama occuring between Mohammed Salah and Liverpool manager Arne Slot and there are speculations concerning Salah's future at the club. It seems that Salah has fallen out of favour with the coach and that the end of the Journey for him at Liverpool might be close.
Mohammed Salah was a key contributing factor to Liverpool impressive run last season aiding the reds in the accumulation of their second Premier League title in 5 years, making Liverpool joint record holders with Man United for the club with the most English top flights titles.
Here are some of Mohammed Salah key highlights last season:
- Matches: 38 appearances
- Goals: 29 goals

Salah also had a record-breaking season, winning the Premier League Player of the Season award, the Golden Boot, and the Playmaker award. He's also the first player in Premier League history to win all three awards in the same season .
But the scenario this season is different for both Liverpool and Salah as it seems as if they both fell from grace to grass.
Liverpool is currently ranked 9th in the Premier League table with 23 points from 15 matches, having won 7 games, drawn 2, and lost 6. Mohammed Salah has 13 appearances in all competitions finding the back of the net 4 times and registering two assists. This season both Mohammed Salah and Liverpool have not not really being their best but does that rule Mohammed Salah out of Liverpool starting XI !
Suprisingly Salah has been on the bench in Liverpool's last three matches, serving as an unused substitute in Liverpool's last game , a 3 -- 3 draw vs Leeds. However after the match Mohammed Salah seemingly frustrated dropped a bombshell in a post match conference.
Stating : “I am not bigger than anyone, but I have worked hard for my position. I do not understand why I am being put in this situation. It feels like I am being thrown under the bus, like I am the problem. I don’t believe that.”
"I have done so much for this club, with the respect I want to get, and I don’t have to go every day fighting for my position because I earn it. I am not bigger than the club. I am not bigger than anything but I have earned it."
"It seems like someone doesn’t want me in the club. I don’t know why, but it seems to me, how I see it, that someone doesn’t want me in the club."
"I had a good relationship with the manager, and all of a sudden, we don’t have any relationship. I don’t know why."
“I’m sitting on the bench for 90 minutes, I think that’s the third time I’m on the bench. I think it’s the first time in my career, but I’m very disappointed.”
"I called my mum yesterday, and I told her to come to the Brighton game, it doesn’t matter if I play or not, I’m going to enjoy it."
"I don’t accept the situation to be fair. Again, I’ve done so much for this club."
"I love the club so much, and I will always do. I don’t know what’s going to happen next. I don’t know".
His speech seemed to have sparkled a controversy on the Internet leaving Liverpool fans divided, Some Liverpool fans support Salah's statement while some fans see it as outrageous.
🚨🗣️ Popular Liverpool fan and former Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher said this in regards or with retrospect to Mohammed Salah's outbursts
:🚨🗣️ Jamie Carragher: "With Mo Salah, it's always about himself."I think Mo Salah is trying to get the manager SACKED! What Mo Salah said after the game WAS A DISGRACE!
When we are talking about throwing people under the bus, Salah threw Liverpool right back under the bus for 8 years… Can you imagine playing behind him for 8 years?"
"But we accept it because he’s a superstar and he’s scored 250 goals and he’s given me as a Liverpool supporter one of the greatest nights of my life!"
Arne Slot in his post match conference when asked about his intake on Salah's speech and his decision to exclude him from the champions League squad to face Milan said “I am a calm person, and polite. But that doesn't mean I am weak. So if a player [Salah] has so many comments, then I have to react as a club. And you can see the reaction now, as he is not here.”
When also asked if thinks Mohammed Salah has played his last game for Liverpool, he answered “I have no clue. I can't answer this.”
